Please extend our appreciation also to Shawn Smith, Larry Routen, and Erica <br />Crosby from the Division, and Jim McArt1e from AML, for their involvement and support at <br />the GEC site meeting. <br />EFCI has expressed concems about potential impacts from the GEC Reclamation Project to <br />portions of Southfield's permit azea within and adjacent to the GEC work. We believe that all <br />of the areas of concern were adequately reviewed during the subject meeting. A summary of <br />the areas and relevant issues we observed and discussed is described below. <br />a. Fan road below 96 inch Magpie culvert: raad surfacing, retaining l2 feet road <br />width and 8 feet wide ditch along overextended toe of Chen's Hill. <br />b. Fan road above 96 inch Magpie culvert: final road alignment, road surfacing, <br />and drainage control where road is cut into reclaimed slope. <br />c. Toe of Chen's Hill reclaimed slope: potential for surface drainage impacts onto <br />EFCI's yazd and Pond No. 5 areas. <br />d. Contractor set-up area on Fan road at Magpie culvert: regrading banked dirt on <br />west side of road and removal of oil contaminated soil. <br />e. Crossing point of Fan road and East Pit drainage channel: channel protection <br />and erosion control. <br />
