SLOPE STABILITY
INTERIM INSPECTION REPORT
AREA Wolf Creek Drainage Fill DATE g/6/86
TIME 6:00 p.m. WEATHER Cloudv. 60's °
1. Debris, organic matter, coal, etc., present in fill none visible. Debris and
_v~etation has been removed downslope ahead of construction of the under- ~
2. General gradation and characteristics of material gradation of core and upper
fill is as specified. Fine granular material has been cast into previous pit
over the reviousl installed underdrain. Large block material has been placed
in un er rain as specs ie .
3. Presence of water, sur ace and ground none present in the active pit or
emergino from the underdrain.
4. Condition of underdrain (approx. current width, depth, and length), material
gradation and characteristic, compaction, presence of water Current placement
is approximately 20' - 25' wide by 12' - 20' deep. Current length of under-
drain is approximately 2700'. Blocky material rolling to the bottom, finer
material is above. No visible sign of flowing water is evident.
5. General material movement No unexpected movement evident.
6. Proximity and treatment of seep points None observed.
7. Condition of slope fill surface (grading, cracks or sloughing, erosion,
revegetation) Fill surface has not been rough graded as of this inspection.
8. Recommendation Continued observation and inspection as construction progresses
downslope.
9. Accountability
I certify the preceding observations and comments to be true and accurate to
the best of my knowledge.
(~~ a.,,,`~ f~, ~ll 4os._~ Pugust 11 , 1986
// James G.
