.~
maintenance needs were observed in this azea following multiple inspections. Vegetative cover
was visually estimated to be established at 60%. The land form and vegetative cover are
sufficient to control erosion at this area. Therefore the silt fence was removed in 2001.
B. The first inspection of the permitted azea occurred on May 9, 2001. Comprehensive
inspections of the permit area were made on a monthly basis from June until mid- October; 2001.
Maintenance of BMP structures at the Beaz Creek gully area and at the small construction azea
was accomplished at the time of each inspection, as dictated by field conditions. As an inactive
mine, only one inspection was required to be performed.
C. No sampling was accomplished, as little, if any, runoff occurred from the permitted area
in 2001. The lack of runoff was due to both to the effectiveness of the landform at dispersing
runoff and the establishment of vegetative cover on the now reclaimed mine facilities.
C:\sgr\cibsn\sbnwrpt0l
4
