In late December 1996, we made contact with Mr. Tom Gillis at [he
Durango Field Office [o explain that to date reclamation activities have consisted of structure
removal and demolition, in addition to routine maintenance and site stabilization as required,
pending the evaluation of pol.ential property disposition options.
At this time, it is Camp Bird Colorado, Inc.'s intention to move toward site reclamation activities
during the upcoming construction season. However, certain aspects of the "approved"
reclamation plan require clarification or additional detail to ensure that site reclamation is
effectively accomplished. B:1sed on our discussions with Mr. Gillis, we have since been in the
process of preparing a Technical Revision to address these outstanding issues, and we anticipate
[hat submittal of this document will occur within the requested 45-day time frame.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at (801) 355-7260.
