A program called QuickV iew will be copied m the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DMG imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does cot requve a new insmllatioo of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase m~i [ be in the De drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will conmin tiles with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing applicebion for .tit files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer or "Paint" and thry do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viower that comps with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DMG has determined that a progrem called "IrfanView", which can be dowdoaded from hfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "Irf~V iew", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DMG does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Inatractkna• 1. Insert the CD inm your computer. Allow time for the CD to install. ~. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Perrnit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autonm program does NOT wodc, you will need to manually instal] the QuickV iew program. Instructions for manua]ly installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www,minin¢.smte.co.us.
