Douglas, Senior Planner ~
DATE: March 24, 1987
SUBJECT: DISCUSSION ITEM--Acreage under SUP No. 570
(the Rich Pit)
The PCPC reviewed SUP No. 570 at its January 27, 1987 meeting and
voted to approve it, with four conditions. Condition 1 concerned
the acreage and reads as follows:
1. Within 30 days of this January 27, 1987 approval,
the applicant shall provide the Department of
Planning and Development with information that will
resolve the apparent difference in acreage permitted
under the SUP vs. that permitted under the Mined
Land Reclamation Board's (MLRB's) 112 Permit. If
that apparent difference results Sn the need to amend
either permit, then an amendment shall be applied
for within 60 days of this January 27, 1987 approval.
The applicant has complied with Condition 1. The apparent
difference in acreage was not due to a change in the proposed
extraction area, rather it was due to a change in the on-site
haul road and concrete plant location. Those changes in road and
plant location were approved by the PCPC at Sts meeting held on
January~86, although the associated changes in affected
acres were not identified in staff's review.
