A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DAMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this of other imaging CD's dcea not require a cew installation of the software. 2. The CD of DVD that you purchase nms be in the Da drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picbue and Fax Viewer'' or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes withpre-Windows XP computers does work. DAMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView'", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "hfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsrbility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Previevd' and "Imaging for Windows". Instructiona• 1.. Insert the CD into your computer. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the (2uickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program. Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minina.state.co.us. The Permit Flle dacnmemt Images can be viewed in the reception area ottee DAMS office or they can be porchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DV D purchase cost covers the tlme and labor of making the CD.
