NI ~ 1997 <br />fin.,, ~QN <br />n ... , <br />The Eastside Mine was placed on temporary inactive status August 16, 1991. <br />In compliance with Rule 4.30.1 of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, <br />the following have been accomplished as of August 16, 1991: <br />A. 10 surface acres have been affected in the permitted area; the <br />underground operations extend 1,000 feet. <br />B. Reclamation of surface areas accomplished include: <br />1. Seeding and mulching of SP-1 pond areas. <br />2. Maintenance of drainage ditches. <br />3. Posting of signs identifying stream buffer zones and permit <br />boundary. <br />C. On-going activities include: <br />1. Surface water sampling and monitoring. <br />2. Underground surveying. <br />3. Mine entrances maintained. <br />4. Mine dewatering. <br />5. Maintenance of signs identifying stream buffer zones and <br />permit boundary. <br />6. SP-1 pond inspection and maintenance. <br />7. Monitoring of seeded areas. <br />Active status will be resumed once the on-going permitting activities at the <br />local level are completed.
