Dear Mr. Raye:
In response to your June 23, 1986, letter to this office, the Office of
Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement, Western Technical Center
(OSMRE/WTC) has reviewed the legal description of the Mining Plan Approval
Area and concurs xith you that there are errors. Therefore, the two pages of
the Mining Plan Approval document which contain the errors have been
corrected and are enclosed xith this letter so that you may replace them in
the copy you received from this office on June 13, 1986.
OSMRE/WTC would also like to grant you written confirmation of the verbal
agreement on the start of the time period for fulfilling Special Condition
No. 2 which you discussed with Meg Eatep of my staff on June 30, 1986. The
60-day time period for submittal of the archeological survey began on the day
on xhich you received the Mining Plan Approval document, June 13, 1986.
This letter should resolve the problems discussed in your letter. Copies of
the revised pages of the Miaing Plan Approval document will be sent to the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, the Bureau of Land Management, and
OSMRE~s Albuquerque Field Office.
