<br /> <br />this work. <br />STATE CLAIMS: (May 10, 1994) <br />C1 <br />Problem: On May l0 the State claims that the contractor disturbed <br />approximately 2 acres of previously reclaimed land <br />adjacent to Chen's Hill. <br />To correct the problem the contractor must import <br />approximately 1,613 cubic feet of acceptable topsoil and <br />revegetate the site. <br />On May 12, 1994 it was noted that the area was 2.54 acres <br />and the wasted topsoil was 2,054 cubic yards <br />On May 16 the contractor contends that they are within <br />the boundaries and that the area in question was eroded. <br />The contractor also contends that they had asked for the <br />staking of the outer limits to no avail. Bill Colgates <br />name was mentioned here. <br />An Aug. 26 letter restates the States position that they want <br />the area reestablished. <br />Per the Oct. 7 letter the State will drop its claim for <br />compensation for lost topsoil. <br />C2 <br />Problem: On May 10 the State claims that the contractor wasted <br />approximately 2,419 cubic yards of overburden into the <br />East Pit. <br />Task 11 says that a safe distance has been determined to be <br />100' back from the east edge of the East Pit. is that 100' <br />back towards the inside or what? <br />__ ,.
