What topsoil is available an the dis-
turbed site will be removed, stockpiled and seeded (to prevent erosion)
in the area outlined on the detailed map (Exhibit C-2). Rock dump slopes
are very difficult to determine at this time. Where possible they will be
kept gentle, 3 to 1 or 4 to 1.
All buildings, fuel tanks, equipment, power lines and other man made
improvements will be removed. Portals will be sealed. All rock dumps,
roads, building sites and other disturbances will be re-contoured when
possible (according to the U.S. Department of Energy requirements), covered
with the previously stockpiled topsoil and seeded with the following seed
mixture recommended by the U. S. DepartmenC of Energy:
SPECIES POUNDS PER ACRE
Sand Dropseed 1i2
Indian Rice Grass 2
4 Wing Saltbush 3
Crested Wheat Grass 3
[destern Wheat Grass 3
Yellow Sweet Clover 2
Total 13 1/2
Pioneer Uravan will follow a plan of reclamation suitable for wild-
life habitat, dry range land and for recreational uses as set Forth by the
U. S. Department of Energy at that future time when mining operations are
completed.
The portal can only be temporarily sealed as required by the U. S.
Department of Energy. Erosion of rock dump slopes is virtually non-exist ant
due to the airid climate. The minor amount of erosion which does occur will
be controlled by strategic placement of rip rap material.
Vent holes will be sealed off.
No other permits are required for this mine.
