It included the con- <br />struction of a small sediment control dam near the base of the <br />lower belt line support tower. <br />On May 31, a sediment control program was discussed with Dan <br />Matthews, without a definite plan being decided upon, because of <br />the belt line and supports still in place. In the discussion, the <br />use of straw bales in strategic locations was mentioned as a pos- <br />sibility on the upper levels. No permanent earth diversions or <br />terrains were to be built on that level, but a small sediment con- <br />trol dam could be built near the base of the bottom belt line sup- <br />port, after those structures have been removed. <br />In response to your letter of August 29, 1990, requiring a <br />sediment control plan, the following is our proposal: <br />SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN <br />1. On the upper levels straw bales will be stacked in place in <br />the areas where excessive gully erosion is a possibility. <br />The specific locations will be determined in the field. This <br />will be done after seeding and mulching have been completed. <br />2.
