Computer requirements to use the DAMS document imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DAMS imaging CD the fast time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's dcea not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase »~ be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paint' and they do not work with t2uickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes witl3 pre-Windows XP computers does work. DAMS has detemlined that a program called "h-fanView", which can be downloaded from IrfaaView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". LastruMiona• 1. Insert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD fiom the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. The Permit Pile document images can be viewed in the receptlon area ottee DAMS oillee or they cau be purchased oD a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase coat covers the time and labor of making the CD.
