One thousand stems (plants) per acre for reclaimed areas which were
originally Greasewood Shrubland.
2. Eight hundred stems (plants) per acre for reclaimed areas which were
originally Shadscale Shrubland.
3. One thousand stems (plants) per acre for reclaimed areas which were
originally Greasewood/Shadscale Shrubland.
We agreed that there was not a need to specify density standards for individual
species of woody plants. Additionally, we both feel that the standard for the
shad scale Shrubland reclaimed areas will adequately serve the post-mining land
use and lead to successful revegetation given the south exposure of these areas.
Species Diversity Revegetation Success Standards
Greasewood Shrubland
- two perennial
- one perennial
- two perennial
shrub species
forb species
grass species
Shadscale Shrubland
- one perennial
- one perennial
- two perennial
shrub species
forb species
grass species
(one being warm season, and one being cool season)
(one being warm season, and one being cool season)
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
