The Rules contain the <br />complete text of rules referenced throughout this document. The review is of the Permit of <br />October 9, 2001, including the associated Permit Application Package (three volumes). The <br />Permit and the Permit Application Package are collectively referred to as the PAP in this <br />document. However, previous permits, findings, reviews, ftles of the Division, and reports were <br />reseazched as were appropriate to the review. <br />The Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine, an underground mine, is located in Garfield County, Colorado, <br />approximately 7 miles west of Glenwood Springs, directly south of New Castle, Colorado, to the <br />south of the Colorado River, and borders a section of County Road 335 approximately 1.5 mile <br />east of t're I-70 New Castle interchange (Exit 105). <br />The PAP describes an operation much lazger than was experienced or is now anticipated due to <br />premature closure of the mine.
