2004 Midterm Review <br />In compliance. With the exception of remaining sediment control features and associated topsoil <br />piles yet to be reclaimed, the areas of disturbance have been graded to approved postmining <br />contours. <br />Rule 4.14,3 Covering Coal and Acid- and Toxic-forming Materials <br />Incompliance by exception. No such materials were encountered. <br />Rule 4.14.4 Thin Overburden <br />Incompliance by exception. This is an underground mine site. <br />Rule 4.14.5 Thick Overburden <br />In compliance by exception. This is an underground mine site. <br />Rule 4.14.6 Regrading or Stabilizing Rills and Gullies <br />Incompliance by exception. No rills and gullies have developed at the site. <br />Rule 4.15 Revegetation <br />Rule 4.15.1 General Requirements <br />In compliance. The plan calls for a diverse, effective and permanent vegetation cover. Prompt <br />establishment of cover and recovery of productivity levels aze objectives. The vegetation cover is <br />capable of stabilizing the soil surface. Fencing is used to maintain proper management practices. <br />Monitoring was conducted, and Phase II Bond Release has been granted. <br />Rule 4.15.2 Use of Species <br />In compliance. Cropland, pasture/wildlife habitat, and pasture/wildlife habitat/woody see mixes <br />were employed (PAP pages 4-59 and 4-60). <br />Rule 4.15.3 Seeding and Planting <br />In compliance. Except for any reseeding required, and establishment of vegetation on reclaimed <br />sediment control features, all seeding and planting has been completed. <br />Rule 4.15.4 Mulching and Other Soil Stabilizing Practices <br />In compliance.
