Ms Stone informed
DMG staff that Montezuma County intended to "chip-seal" CR-21 in the near future.
Apparently, Montezuma County had requested permission from Stone Crushing to import
processed material from Montezuma County permitted sites and stockpile the material at
the Stone Gravel Pit, to be utilized in surfacing CR-21. Ms Stone inquired whether
Montezuma County's request would conflict with the Act and Rules. I responded that the
Act and Rules did not prohibit such activities. However, I encouraged Ms Stone to inform
BLM of the proposed temporary stockpile activities.
Ms Stone responded that she would provide written notice of the temporary stockpile
activities to BLM and DMG.
Ms Stone also informed DMG that a person resembling Susan Campbell Bell appeared to be
following gravel delivery trucks departing the Stone Gravel Pit.
