Section 2.04 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR SURFACE OR UNDERGROUND MINING
ACTIVITIES -- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR INFORMATION ON
ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES.
Section 2.04.3 General Requirements: Site Description and Land Use
Information.
(2) Condition, Capability, and Productivity
The applicant has not provided a sufficiently detailed discussion of the
present condition of the permit area. Section 2.04.3 of the Colorado
permanent regulatory program should be carefully reviewed and the present
and potential (assuming good management techniques were implemented)
condition, capability, and productivity of the permit area assessed.
Also, all renewable resource lands should be clearly identified and
discussed [see comments under 2.05.6(6)(a) of this review].
Section 2.04.4 Cultural and Historic Resource Information
See Appendix A of this review.
Section 2.04.6 Geology Description
(2) Underground Mining
(a)
The geologic maps and cross - sections (e.g., Figure II.b -2, Map 4, Map 121,
Map 122, and Map 123) need to be certified by a qualified professional
engineer or geologist.
-2-
