During 1992, all of the remaining sediment control structures were reclaimed, as approved per <br />Technical Revision No. 12. The associated surface disturbances were then topsoifed, resulting in <br />reclamation of all material stockpiles. As such, all disturbances have been reclaimed and have been <br />topsoifed and reseeded. <br />During November of 1992, Kaiser Steel Resources applied for Phase II Bond Release. The <br />application was found incomplete on November 24, 1992. On June 25, 1993 and August 25, <br />1993, Kaiser Resources (as a result of a corporate name change) submitted additional information <br />regarding the Phase II Bond Release request. After discussing the submittals with Division <br />personnel regarding their incompleteness, Kaiser Resources withdrew its request for Phase II Bond <br />Release on September 17, 1993. <br />On April 22, 1993, Kaiser Steel Resources submitted an application for a permit revision (PR-01) <br />to reduce the mine permit area and consolidate the mine permit documents. During the Division <br />review of this document, Kaiser Steel Resources, Inc. become Kaiser Resources, Inc. On <br />September 19, 1993, the Division proposed approval of Permit Revision No. 1. Final approval <br />occurred on October 1, 1993 following the end of the public comment period. <br />Due to limited success of woody plants and warm season grasses, reseeding .of 60 acres of <br />reclaimed areas was conducted in May 1993. Portions of the reseeded areas were fenced for <br />protection from livestock grazing. <br />6 <br />
