Dept. of Ilatural Reso~irr.e° <br />This is to confirm our telephone conversation of May 5, 1982 during which we <br />discussed the reporting cycle for submitting the Annual Hydrologic Report as required by <br />CMLRD Stipulation No. 39 (OSM Finding's Document Stipulation No. 10). These <br />stipulations were issued as parts of the permits granted by the CMLRD and the OSivi to <br />Atlantic Richfield for its Mt. Gunnison No. 1 Underground Kline in July, 1981. As agreed <br />to by the OSM, CMLRD and Atlantic Richfield, Atlantic Richfield will submit its first <br />Annual Hydrologic Report in January 1983. This report will include the data collected <br />from October 1981 through October 1982. This reporting cycle is consistent with the <br />U.S.G.S. Water Year, which will allow hydrologic data collected for the Mt. Gunnison <br />Mine to be more readily used for regional studies. Thus, in the future, our Annual <br />Hydrologic Report will contain data collected for the twelve-month period beginning each <br />October and will be submitted to the Division and the OSM during the following January. <br />I have confirmed with Mr. Walter Swain of the OSM that this schedule is also acceptable <br />with them. <br />The data collected in the Annua] Hydrologic Report will include not only that <br />information required by CMLRD Stipulation 39 (OSM Finding's Document Stipulation 10) <br />but will also include the information required by Stipulation 36 (OSM Finding's Document <br />Stipulation 4) and Stipulation 40 (OSM Finding's Document Stipulation 13). <br />The furnishing of this material does not constitute an admission that the same is <br />required by law nor does Atlantic Richfield Company hereby admit that its permit <br />applications or the permits granted for its Mt.
