Board of Adjustment Annual Report which
reflects last year's operations. (June 1986 through May 1987)
We feel that the information contained herein covers the points addressed and re-
quested in the original resolution.
As you are aware, the economy as a whole and the construction industry specifically,
continues to suffer a downturn in activity. This situation continues to have an
affect on our quarry operation, involving material production, truck movements, etc.
In recent months, however, there has been some turn around in construction activity.
With the passage of the gas and fuel tax bill and the disbursement of these funds,
additional revenues are being generated for badly needed roadway and Highway improve-
ments, which should escalate our activity. We are taking advantage of every opp-
ortunity in this regard. We will continue, however, to maintain a giiaLity operation
and keep our quarry a safe place to work.
As has been offered in the past, Asphalt Paving Co. remains open to suggestions
from you and the Board of Adjustment with regard to Ralston Quarry and its relation-
ship with Jefferson County.
Sincerely,
ASPHALT
/- Spr~
Vice
• SMM/bj
PAVING CO.
/ IC\n/f~~
M. h~yger
~sident
Attachments
