Computer requirements to use the DAMS document imaging CD (or DVD):
I. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DAMS imaging CD
the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does sot require a new ins:alaton of the sottrvare.
2. Thu CD or DVD that you purohase n s be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD.
3. The CD will contain files with the .tif exteavioa Them needs to be an image viewing application for .tif Elea on your computer that
will handle single and multi-page documenb. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs arc called "Windows Picture
and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they IIO not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that cornea with pre-Windows XP computers
does work. DAMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded fiom IrfanView.com, does work with
lZtrickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be conSgured as your default .tif viewer. DRM5 does not support or endorse
this software a~ the licensing and registration are the user's responarbility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as
.'Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows°.
Instructlona•
Insert the CD into your computer.
2. Allow time for the CD to install.
3. Eject the CD from the computer.
4. Reinsert the CD into the computer.
$. You are ready to view the Permit Files.
Nl7fE: A program called QuickView Autorltq which time tha QuickView
setup program, has also been copied to this CD. Tf the Autonm program
does NOT work you will need to mamtauy install the tZuickView program.
Insuuctions for annually installing QnickView are available upon request
with the CD or can be viewed at www.minina.smte.co.w.
