BOX 19754 Natural Resource Trustee
Boulder, CO 80308
RE: Status -Cash & Who Do Mines, Permit No. M-1983-141
Class: General Documents
Dear Mr. Collins:
Based on a file review of Permit M-1983-141, please note that on October 10, 2006 the Division
of Reclamation, Mining, & Safety approved Mount Royal Ventures (MRV) Amendment No. 2
application submitted to the Division on November 7, 2005 which addresses the following:
Amendment application to include an alternate method for ore removal, and modify the existing
permit area boundary delineations and acreages.
The amendment does not expand the level of mining activity allowed by permit M-1983-141.
Under the pre-existing and amended 110(2) mining and reclamation permit, MRV was and is
permitted to conduct mining operations on less than ten (10) acres which will extract less than
seventy thousand (70,000) tons per yeaz of mineral, (CRS 34-32-110). Attached is a copy of the
Division's October 10, 2006 amendment application approval as well as a summary of the
changes proposed in MRV's AM-2 application.
Also, based on recent site inspections by the Division we find no outstanding environmental or
permitting concerns at the Cash & Who Do Mines site, Permit M-1983-141. Your operation
appears to be incompliance with all applicable rules and requirements of the Mineral Rules and
Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Boazd for Hard Rock, Metal and
Designated Mining Operations. If you have any further questions regarding the status of the
mining and reclamation operation, please contact Carl Mount of our Office at (303) 866-3863.
Sincerely,
Thomas A.
