A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD a~ must 6e instilled on your cartgtttter in order to use a DAMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not rcgt:ire a new installation of the softwaze. 2. The CD ar DVD that you purchase mua be in the D• d A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain Liles with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing applicatlon for .tif files tm your computer that will handle single and multi-Page documeab. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Pichae and Fax Vkwer" or'Paint" a~ they do ~t work with QuickView. The Irnagirrg Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers dace work. DAMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with tZuickView. After downloading "IrfanView°, it needs to be configured as your default .Nf viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this soflwarc and the licensing and registration arc the user's reaponstbiGty. Thera arc many other programs that work ae well, such ae .`Imaging Preview" and "Lvaging for Wiodowa". Inetructtona• 1. Insert the CD imp your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to ioabll. ~. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You arc ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called fjuickView Autorun, which rune the QuckView setup program, hoe also been copied m this CD. If the Autoiun program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program. The Permk File document imago can be viewed b the reuptlou area of the DAMS oiHce or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DV D purchase cost covers the tlme and labor of making the CD.
