Site #: 5OR65 • <br />Temporary #: N/A <br /> <br />Historical Architectural Building/Structure Form <br />(page 2 of 3} <br />22. General Architectural Description: Structure 5 is a residential cottage built in 1903 and used in <br />more recent years for mine drill core storage. The main wing of the structure measures 21 by 26 feet. <br />oriented southwest to northeast. It has a composition shingle hip roof and clapboard Biding with plain <br />endboards. The doors and windows are surrounded by plain board molding. A stove pipe projects <br />through the southeast slope oC the maf. Attached to the northeast end of the northwest elevation is a 9 <br />by 16 foot (northeast-southwest axis) shed addition. Thin is covered with shiplap siding. An 8 by 10 Cooc <br />(northeast-southwest axis) croal storage shed addition hoe been attached to the southwest end of the <br />southeast elevation. This has horiumtal boards nailed onto the inside of the walls, leaving the wall studs <br />exposed. The entry to the building is through a 6 foot square vestibule on the southeast end of the <br />northeast elevation. This is aided with vertical tongue and groove and is reached by a set of wooden <br />steps. A six light fixed window is on the northwest side o[ the entry and an empty window opening is on <br />the southeast aide. A pair of two over two double hung wood sash windows are present on center of the <br />southeast elevation. Another two over two window is to the right of the entry on the northeast elevation <br />with a Cour by Cour aide eliding wood sash widow farther to the right. <br />FUNCTION <br />2S.
