22. General Architectural Description: Structures 3 and 4 are small residential cottages that have been
added onto and joined on their west sides. Both appear to have measured 22 by 28 Ceet, oriented
generally east to west, originally. A series of shed additions on their west sides have extended them an
additional 10 feet. Both originally had simple hip roofs through which dormers have been added, making
them both 155 stories tall. The roofs are now covered with sheet metal. The southernmost of the two
cottages, Structure 3, is covered with clapboard siding and has a main entrance on the north end of the
east elevation. A large picture window is to the left of the door. The structure has a gabled dormer
projecting through the center of the east side of the roof. It has shingle siding and a pair of six light fated
wood sash windows. One over one double hung wood sash windows are on the east and west ends o[ the
north elevation. An exterior chimney, which appears to be an addition, is on the east end of the south
elevation with a one over one window to the left. A single light fixed wood sash window ie on the west
end of the elevation into the shed extension. The cottage hoe a rear doorway just left of center through
the shed extension on the west side of the building. Structure 3 hoe been modified considerably from its
original construction and is only in fair condition.
