This is a continuance of <br />the problems included in the ?7L,^,D notice of violation. Undoubtedly v,aste <br />product (sanding chips) are also being eroded into the stream channel the full <br />length of the access road. <br />Large boulders .ieru placed along the side of the access road to retain <br />materials and piles of the waste here moved to the opposite side (the uphill <br />side) of the road. Those methods haee not c:orl:ed os svidunced from the <br />deposits of laaterial collected on adjoining j;roperties. the access casement <br />specifically requires maintenance anrJ upkezp of the quarry road. I would <br />recommend that Castle agree to the Following; <br />1. Castle should collect tl-:e caste. product (sanding chips) and dislodged <br />boulders Frora Olac,: Canyon „oar). ;omoval shall be done with equipment <br />suitable in size for thi: tas:r without gouging, puncturing, or otherwise <br />damaging the road, gutter and subgradc. collection should be done at til,les <br />and wittl sufficient personnel so as not to impecJe traffic or pose a traffic <br />hazard. <br />~. Castle should ir.unedial'ely relaove caste product (sanding chips) from the <br />quarry access road whicPl is presently functioning as :, drainage racy. ,iemoval <br />should prevent recurrence of cater flo,r depositing the caste product. <br />3. Castle should initiate a street s..ceping schedule consistent with other <br />entities (city, county, and state street maintenance departments) to prevent <br />~aaste frola .vashing from the road snd!or being pulverized into traffic dust. <br />4.
