When the raise bore bit is lifted to within 5 feet of the hole <br />completion; the miners will withdrawn from the mine and the <br />power removed in the ~.s u til the hole is completed. At <br />this time the mine ventilation will be examined in its <br />entirety and the necessary changes will be made before <br />returning to work. All it from h pilot hole will be v <br />to the --e~te~rn. dL <br />uu in_ ~ lning of the shaft, the ventilation will be <br />directed and regulated to the return to ensure a minimum <br />quantity of 3000 CFM in the shaft. <br />A sufficient quantity of air will be maintained in the <br />"bleeder entries" to ensure the methane concentration is less <br />than 1 0. <br />Drawing attached (Excavation Ventilation) <br />Shaft Completion: <br />Following the ccmpletion cf tha shaft, an exhaust fan will be <br />installed on the shaft. The fan will be installed and <br />operated in accordance with the requirements of 75.300 <br />PIecharical Ventilation - Main ran. When the fan becomes <br />operational the air courses will be examined for "dead" areas <br />and corrective action taken to eliminate them. <br />In the event the longwall becomes operational before the shaft <br />is completed, the shaft will be intakiag and the air flow for <br />the longwall *aill be directed thru the bleeder entries. <br />Drawing attached (Completed Ventilation with and without fan). <br />The following lists the specifications for the exhaust fan.
