Computer requirements to use the DBMS document imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your corr~uter in order to use a DBMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purohase mast be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page docunxnts. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Pictl>re and Fax Viewer" or "Paim" and they do not work with QuickView, The Imaging Viewet that corms with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "h-fanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "ItfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview„ and "Imaging for Windows". Inatructiona• 1. Insert the CD into your corr~uter. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autonm program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the CrLickView program. Llstructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.arinina.state.co.us. The Permit File document images can be viewed Ia the receptlon area of the DBMS ortlce or they can be purchased on a CD or DV D. The CD/DVD purchase coat covers the tlme aad labor otmaking the CD. DBMS cannot provide computer related sunoort.
