These results are attached, per the
amendment review of Permit No. M-1978-116, dated November 5, 2004. Ore production
began inmid-March, and a sample of the ore being placed in the surface stockpile was
collected April 13, 2005 and submitted for SPLP analyses. The preliminary results of that
sample have been received and aze included here, as well. A copy of the final laboratory
report of the ore sample will also be forwarded when we receive it.
The waste sample was collected as a composite sample consisting of fragments broken
off of large waste rocks (>1 ft), fist-sized rocks, and grabs of fines in the waste pile.
These were collected randomly from several mine truckloads after they were dumped.
All of the waste rock brought outside so faz and all anticipated in the mine's future is
from development drifts in the upper sandstone unit of the Salt Wash member of the
Morrison formation, which is the ore-bearing horizon.
The ore sample was collected randomly around the ore stockpile. Grabs were taken from
the pile side (at angle of repose) as well as where a loader had dug into the pile creating a
much steeper face, neaz the center of the pile. This sample consisted of material ranging
from fine sand to rocks up to about 2 inches. The ore is fairly friable, therefore, no large
rocks or fragments of large rocks were included in the sample.
Cotter Corporation -West Slope Operations Telephone (970) 864-7347
P.O.
