<br />-16- <br />This data may be used at the end of the permit term to determine revegetation <br />success criteria in accordance with Rule 4.15.9. <br />With the acceptance of the above stipulation by the permittee, the Division <br />finds the proposed operation in compliance with the requirements of this <br />section. <br />III. Cultural and Historic Resources - Rules 2.04.4 and 2.05.6(4) <br />The cultural and historic resources inventory that was conducted on the mine <br />site is discussed in the application on pages 2.04-3 through 2.04-4 and <br />Exhibit 5 of Volume I. This information has been reviewed by the Division for <br />compliance. <br />Based on cultural resource inventories supplied by the applicant and review by <br />the State Historic Preservation Officer, it has been deternined that no <br />cultural and historic resources listed on the National Register of Historic <br />Places have been identified within the permit area. One site, a ]ithic <br />scatter, which is not listed or eligible for listing was identified within the <br />permit area. This site will not be disturbed during the permit term by any <br />planned activities. <br />Pursuant to Rule 2.07.6(2)(e), the Division finds that the mining operation <br />will not adversely affect any publicly owned park or place listed on the <br />National Register of Historic Places. <br />This operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />IV. Geology - Rules 2.04.5 and 2.04.6 <br />Information on the geology of the Maxwell Mine can be found on pages 2.04.5 <br />and 2.04.6 and Exhibit 6 of Volume I, Exhibit 7 of Volume V, and in CF&I's <br />August 20, 1982 responses to the Draft Findings. The applicant has submitted <br />a geologic map (Map 6) and geologic cross-sections (Map 7) found in the permit <br />application. A detailed discussion of geology is found in Section VII of this <br />document. <br />The proposed operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />V. Hvdroloaic Balance: Surface Water - Rules 2.04.5. 2.04.7. <br />Information on the quantity and quality of surface water in the mine area can <br />be found in the application on page 2.04-8 and Exhibit 6 of Volume I and <br />Exhibit 8 and 9 of Volume II and maps 8 and 9 of Volume III and in CF&I's <br />response of August 20, 1983 to the Draft Findings. <br />The major drainages which could be impacted by this mining operation are the <br />Purgatoire River, the Ciruela Canyon drainage, the Santistevan Canyon <br />drainage, the Apache Canyon drainage, and the Wet Canyon drainage. <br />
