For example, the quantity of western wheatgrass <br />seed (95 percent purity, 70 percent germination) needed to meet a <br />stipulated 1.0 pound PI_S/acre application rate: <br />Actual applied = required PLS rate (lb/ac) = 1.0 lb/ac = 1.5 <br />seed rate PLS index 019 x~7 lb/ac <br />Site-adapted, current ;,ear's tested seed is required and is subject to the <br />approval of the Authorized Officer (copies of the seed labels will be <br />furnished to the Authorized Officer). <br />Specific cultural practices that promote the establishment and survival of <br />seeded forbs and shrubs will be employed where practicable, subject to the <br />approval of the Authorized Officer. <br />6 <br /> <br />
