BAILEY: Can I ask for the
5 relevancy of these questions to this litigation?
6 You have already asked him about monitoring
7 associated with the long wall; which could
S conceivably indicate subsidence, some sort of
9 subsidence effect, at your residence, and he has
l0 responded that he is not aware of anything like
11 that. I want to know before I let him answer any
12 of these questions what the relevance is.
13 MR. TATUM: We are testing for
14 subsidence in the area which could reasonably be
15 considered immediate to or the close nearby'
16 neighborhood, and if we have subsidence effects
17 three hundred yards away, that it may very well
18 carry over to the area in question. I will
19 rephrase the question a little bit and maybe it
20 will be acceptable to you in that form.
21 Q. Is it not true that you have voiced
22 concerns to people in the area involving the long
21
23 wall that there very well may be subsidence damage
24 on the surface in that area?
25 A.
