10 contemplated air shaft?
11 A. It accomplished both.
12 Q. Have you worked on other mines prior to
13 being here at this site?
14 A. Yes, I have.
15 Q. Tell us where those mines are located?
16 A. I worked for Consolidation Coal Company
17 at their mine in Emery, Utah.
18 Q. Was that a long wall, or what?
19 A. No, that was strictly continuous
20 mining, room and pillar mining.
21 Q. Tell me about room and pillar mining
22 and possible subsidence. Does subsidence ever
23 occur where there has been room and pillar mining?
