Attached you will find three categories of data. The first category shows (graphically)
deflection readings in the three inclinometers (07-GI2, 07-GX6 and 07-ZIl). Multiple
readings for each inclinometer aze shown with corresponding dates listed on the right
hand side of each graph. Instrumentation within the boundaries of the slide area is
monitored more frequently than sites outside of the slide boundary. There has been no
significant movement in any of the three inclinometers.
The second category shows piezometer data Data for all four piezometers aze shown on
one attached sheet. Piezometers inside the slide azea tend to have higher psi readings than
those outside the slide area. Variations in readings over time have been small. Readings
from the Z pit piezometer indicate insignificant amounts of pore pressure. This
piezometer was inadvertently destroyed in September. We aze working with AAI to see if
a replacement piezometer is necessary. Once again, instrumentation within the slide azea
is monitored more frequently than sites outside the slide boundary.
The third category shows movement data for the nine installed benchmazks. With the
exception of the benchmazk located at 07-GX2-CCR, movement has not been significant.
The benchmark at 07-GX2-CCR is located just outside the east slide perimeter. This
monument has moved over seven feet at a fairly consistent rate over the last 6 Yz months.
AAI is not concerned or surprised by this movement given the location of this site.
Trapper will continue to supply DRMS semi-annual monitoring reports for this azea as
long as AAI deems monitoring to be necessary.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
James M.
