SPECIAL CONDITIONS Sunlight Mine Reclamation Project RN-GOAL-MINES-3 I. BIDDING INFORMATION PROJECT LOCATION The project is located approximately 10 miles south of Glenwood Springs, Colorado in Garfield County along a segment of County Road 117. Exhibits 1 and 2 attached to the bid package provide general and specific project locaiion information respectively. The mine site is immediately adjacent to the county road and about one mile below the Sunlight ski area. PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE SHOWING A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site showing will be held at the site at IO~,m, on April 3, 1990, Prospective bidders should meet at the mine access road turnoff located along the north side of County Road 117 (see drawing sheet 1 of 91. The Pre-Bid Meeting is for the purpose of showing prospective bidders the work site and vicinity. Bidders are advised to be prompt. Failure to attend the entire meeting will be cause for rejection of a bid, Bidders are cautioned that, notwithstanding any remarks or clarifications given at this meeting and site showing, all terms and conditions of the contract documents remain unchanged unless they are changed by written amendment issued by the OWNER, If the answers to questions, or any amendment to the contract documents create ambiguities, it is the responsibility of the bidder to seek clarification prior to submitting a bid. BID OPENING DATE The bid opening date for this project is April 18, 1990 at 10:00 a.m, n written tabulation of the Bid results will be available to those bidders who submit a self-addressed stamped envelope with their bid. Telephone requests cannot be honored because of time constraints. TIME OF COMPLETION The time of completion allowed for the project is 9U calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES The liquidated damages for this project will be 5100.00 per day. Please see "General Conditions", Number 10, BID BOND A bid bond is not required for this job. Item number 4 of the "General Conditions" is not applicable to this project.
