GWny
Division DirMnr
NaNral Resource Trustee
The Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) completed a review of the Glacier Peak Mining
permit application and, since the application complied with the minimum requirements of the
Act/Mineral Rules and Regulations, the permit was approved (June 4, 2003).
The permit area encompasses four (4) mining claims: Blue Smoky, Smoky Hawk, Elk Hom and
Wolf Fang. The Qui-Buc No. 2 claim is too far from the other claims to be included in this
pemmit area. Mr. Dorris was instructed to 81e a separate permit application for Qui-Buc No. 2
claim. The azea of this permit is comprised o£approxinrately 3 acres.
The Reclamation Bond was set at $4,905.00. The permit will not issue until an adequate bond
has been submitted.
Because this is a Limited Impact pen3lit the DMG, generally, only inspects the site once every
four years. The site will be inspected if the petmittee asks for a release (partial or full) of
reclamation responsibility or if the DMG receives a complaint.
If you have any questions regarding the Bond, please contact Suzi Ericksen. Any other questions,
please contact myself or Dr. Harry Posey (Acting Senior).
Sincerely,
`~ ,
James Dillie
E_*!vironmental Protection Specialist
cc: Harry Posey (e-mail)
Office of Offtce of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Ceologiral Survey
