0
H-G Mine
Permit No. C-80-003
d) Species Diversity
Data for species diversity on the reclamation will be
obtained directly from the herbaceous cover figures. A list
of plant species noted in samples and observed during the
course of field work will also be compiled.
4) Bond Release Criteria
a) Herbaceous Cover
The mean of absolute cover for herbaceous plants from the
reclamation will be within 90$ or greater of the weighted
mean of absolute cover for herbaceous plants on the reference
areas with 90$ confidence using the one tailed t-test. Cover
of noxious weeds will not be counted toward the success
standard. Annual or biennial plant species will contribute no
more than 10$ of the relative cover figures toward bond
release.
b) Herbaceous Production
The mean of herbaceous plant production from the reclamation
will be within 90$ or greater of the weighted mean herbaceous
plant production for herbaceous plants on the reference areas
with 90$ confidence using the one tailed t-test. The data
will not include production estimates for woody plants,
noxious weeds or annuals. Biennials can contribute no more
than 10~ percent of the production data for the reclamation.
c) Shrub Density
The approved post-mine shrub density standard for the H-G
Mine reclamation, other than the designated shrub enhancement
areas, is 200 stems per acre.
d) Species Diversity
The approved species diversity standard for the H-G Mine
reclamation is four cool season grasses and one forb with
relative percent cover of these species not to exceed 75$ of
the total. One single species shall have no greater than 40$
relative cover.
