The
trainees specifically remarked on your mining "ethic." Your effort to reduce waste and
make the most of the materials extracted from your quarry was a key educa 'onal point
for the class. Concepts used by you at your quarry helped the trainees unde stand there
are alternatives to much of the waste and land abuse found in some mining perations.
I am confident that the 1992-1993 class of Natural Resource Trainees will a~ply the
knowledge they have gained throughout the training course to help protect PS lands for
all future generations.
Thank you again for making your quarry and your insight available to the N)pS Mining
and Minerals Branch and the Natural Resource Trainees.
Sincerely,
~~~
David B.
