The pipeline right-of-way pre-
dates Trapper's coal lease rights and all of Amoco's work will be conducted
within their right-of-way. The pipeline must be moved to allow Trapper to
remove the coal reserve below the pipeline in our Colt Pit area.
Amoco will be hiring their own contractor to do the work. To help offset
costs associated with the pipeline move, Trapper will remove and replace top-
soil within the pipeline right-of-way. We are seeking your confirmation that
Trapper is not responsible for this activity and that CMLRD will not assert
jurisdiction over it.
Topsoil removal is currently underway and the pipeline relocation should begin
in a few weeks. The attached map "Proposed Amoco Pipeline Easement Reloca-
tion" is provided for your information. If you have any questions or need
additional information, please contact Wayne Sowards or me.
Sincerely,
J /%
William Agnew
Sr. Environmental Engineer
WA/jb
[CMLRD\MAY16]
Enclosure
c: G.M.
