INTRODUCTION <br />This document is the approval package prepared by the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division (the Division) for the Grassy Gap Mine, a surface mining <br />operation located in Routt County, Colorado. The document contains the <br />proposed decision to approve the application; a summary which includes a <br />description of the review process for the permit application; a description of <br />the environment affected by the mining operation and a description of the <br />mining and reclamation plan; and, the written findings of compliance that the <br />Division is required to make pursuant to the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act. Detailed information about the proposed mining and <br />reclamation operations can be found in the permit application and the public <br />record maintained by the Division (File No. C-039-81) at 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Room 423, Denver, Colorado and at the County Clerk's office at the Routt <br />County Courthouse in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. <br />
