Re: Dowe Flats Mine, Permit No. M-1993-041, Stipulations to the Permit
Dear Mr. Lohr:
During a recent review of the Dowe Flats Mine file, the Division discovered stipulations that were placed on approval of
the original permit approval and the amendment application (AM-01). /
The Division could find no evidence in our files that Stipulations C and E from the initial permit approval have been
satisfactorily complied with (see MLRB Order dated March 3, 1994). In addition, the Division could find no evidence
that Stipulations No. Ol, 02 and 03 have been complied with (see approval letter dated December 14, 1994). Please
review the list of stipulations, and inform the Division as to their status. To avoid potential future enforcement actions
for non-compliance with State Statutes, Rules and Regulafions, and/or conditions specified in your permit for this site,
documentation of compliance for each stipulation must be submitted to our office by September 30, 2004.
