The outstanding problem, noted in the November 21, 2001 inspection report, that your Mazch 19, 2002 letter does
not touch upon is the need for a noxious weed control plan. There are thistles on the site, and no evidence of
adequate controls, nor a control plan in the permit file. The weed control plan must be developed and submitted,
along with the commitment to imklement it. The correction date was March 25, 2002. Please refer to me
inspection report for further discussion. A weed control plan is made part of the permit via the technical revision
process. Please be reminded that the fee for a technical revision is $188.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the bond submittal described in this letter or the timeframes
for providing the technical revision. For requesting new bond forms or information about the types of bonds
accepted by the State, please contact Ms. Suzi Ericksen or Ms. Bazb Chiappone in the Division's Denver office (see
letterhead).
If you have questions or comments about this letter or the bond calculation figures, I may be reached at the
Division's Durango field office: 701 Camino del Rio, Room 125, Durango, CO 81301; telephone 970/247-5193
or fax 970/247-5104.
Sincerely,
~/~ ~.
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protectiof j pecialist
cc: Cazl Dismant, Bachelor Silver Mines Company, P.O.
