Purchased old theatre and land 3 years ago and mo ev d \
crusher across the river from previous gravel pit.
2. Put pipe in river in years past and it washed out
several times. Is there a gravel permit to operate
in the river from the core of Army.
3. They crush gravel at night with no consideration of the
neighbors.
4. In the past three years neighbors never seen a public
notice on the new gravel pit on the land they purchased.
5. Truck traffic coming out on HWY 133. Original permit
came out on J-75 Drive.
I know there has to be permits- both gravel excavation
and to work in the river. I am moving to the Paonia
area from Utah and represent a group of people who are
disturbed by the operation across the river. I think
we should of had the opportunity to have protested the
new operation. My family never received any notices
nor did anybody else. Paonia is a beautiful place
and we want to protect our area. We need gravel and
realize the need but gravel pits should be located
off the highway.
~.
~L 2" _ "~ ~J'/~
Larry Priest
Coal Mine Industry for 30 years
.. ., .~. .~ ..r . _. .. ...
