iii iiiiiiiiiiiii iii
Memorandum
To: Dan Hernandez
From: Janet Binn - ~
Date: 1211410
Re: Eckman Park, Min o.1, C-81-071, preliminary report for Phase III bond release
File: C:/jhb/c81071/SL08 preliminary.doc
Chuck Florian or Greystone stopped by today with a preliminary phase III bond release report for the
Eckman Park and Energy Mine No. 1. This report presents Greystone's sample data from summer 2000
(year 9 for the remaining areas of Eckman). Greystone will collect the "year ] 0" data in 2001 as well. I
told Chuck that I would not get a chance to look at this preliminary report until January or February. As you
know, this report and our review of it is not a requirement for Phase III bond release, but the Division has
strongly recommended to operators to submit the information after the first yeaz of sampling in case the
Division has any concerns. This initial review has the potential to resolve questions or concerns the
Division might have before an operator samples two consecutive years.
