The recoverable reserve
figure for this lease will be changed from the original estimate of 29,300,000
tons to 23,784,000 tons. This change will be effective at the start of the
next continued operation year for lease COC-54606. _
The second request dated June 17, 1997, concerns mining of the 6 Right Inby
entries. We conclude that this modification does not adversely affect maximum
economic recovery of the Federal coal resource. There is no significant
change to the recoverable reserves for lease COC 59608. Accordingly, the 6
Right Inby Entries R2 P2 modification is approved.
The third request dated August 11, 1997, concerns minor modifications to the
layout of the 6 Right Gateroad and Submains. We conclude that this
modification does not adversely affect maximum economic recovery of the
federal coal resource. There is no significant change to the recoverable
reserves for leases COC-081330, COC-59608, or COD-62647. Accordingly, the 6
Right Gateroad and Submains R2 P2 modification is approved.
If you have any additional questions, please contact Jerry Strahan at (970)
829-9991.
Sincerely,
Joh E.'
