INTRODUCTION
VME Nitro-Consult Inc., acting as the blast vibration consultant
to GEC Minerals, Inc., monitored the 4:30 P.M. coal over-burden
shot on Wednesday Jenuery 28, 1981. Mine location is approximately
6 miles south of Florence, Colorado.
Six VME manufactured seismographs were positioned within a 1000
ft. radius of the blast. Five of the six instruments were placed
on the adjoining Dorchester Mine property at 'criticnl' points
as defined by Dorchester personnel.
Vibration data were obtained at the six locations, and a regression
analysis was performed using the subject data obtained. Tl~e data
appear at another section in this report - as do the conclusions
which result from the data and their study.
,I ._ .i
