Dept. of Natlmat Resources <br />This letter is to update you as to the present status oi' our MacKenzie <br />Pit, your rile No. 80-114. <br />On December <<, 1981, our of'f'ice received a letter i'rom FY~emont County <br />Planning and Zoning Department, stating that their records indicate they <br />had no record oi' our pit being properly permitted. F'or the third time, <br />their attention was brought to their letter dated October 7, 1980, stat- <br />ing that no special use permits are required, signed by Mr. Bruce <br />Johnson, County Attorney. <br />Now, Mr, Johnson states the letter was i'or a plant operation only, and <br />not i'or mining gravel, Our reeling is that a plant operation covers a <br />wide i'ield, asphalt plants, ready mix concrete plant, crushing plant, <br />etc, <br />We have completed all requirements for zoning permits. <br />At the Plarch 1, 198<, meeting, Mr, Babitz told us our case would not <br />be brought up bei'ore the commission until such time that your oi'i'ice <br />made s visual inspection, and re should go ahead with our operation <br />until such time this inspection was rr.ade, He, b.r. Babitz, indicated <br />he saw no problem, <br />I respectililly hope this letter contains the information necessary to <br />update you as to our present status with local regulations.
