The following information covers the time period from September 16, 1997 -
September 21, 1997.
General Construction Summary and Schedule
Excavation of Phase 1C and Phase ID of the RPE is nearing completion as material is exhausted from
these areas. Creation of structural fill via screening operations continues in this area using pit run material
imported from off site. Culvert CCW-1 B is wmplete to approximately 50 feet east of Manhole #7. Work
is approximately 95% complete on the Shaft #3 site development and Electric Borehole road. MSE Wall G
(Block Wall) is approximately 85% complete. MSE walls F-1 and F-2 are now 100% complete after the
decision to lower the final finished height of the embankment (see additional detail below). Excavation
work is progressing on portions of the lower road. Progress has been slowed by significant rain events
which occurred throughout the week.
Current Schedule
A gantt chart of the schedule and progress of general construction activities for the project is attached.
Other specific tasks of interest are as follows:
Main Crossing (Wall F-1 and F-2)
Wall G
Pond SG-1 and Culvert CCW-1B
Wall H
Water Tank Extension
Lower Sylvester Gulch Road
In Progress
in Progress
Indefmite Hold
Begin 8/27
Completed 9/18
Complete 9/24
Complete 10/3
Completed 9/ll
Complete 10/3
