Specifically, EFCI reviewed the
status of the reconstructed light-use fan road and the West Slope area adjacent to Magpie Creek
Diversion.
EFCI is seriously concerned about the existing condition of the reconstructed light-use road, existing
drainage control structures, and potential impacts to EFCI's permit azea. The completed work is not
as we were told it would be done, or done to project bid specifications, and EFCI cannot accept the
work within our permit boundary in its current condition. EFCI intends therefore to approach the
Mined Land Reclamation Board to discuss the potential impacts to the Southfield Mine site.
EFCI previously expressed concerns about the impacts of the GEC Project to EFCI's permit area to
the Division. Correspondence related to the GEC Project and the Southfield permit azea include the
following:
Letter and Map, from Harry Ranney to Allen Weaver, dated December 9, 1993.
Letter, from Steven Renner to Randy Acre, dated February 8, 1994.
Letter, from Allen Weaver to David Berry, dated May 9, 1994.
Site visit, DMG, AML, and EFCI personnel, on June 2, 1994
Letter, from Allen Weaver to David Berry, dated Juae 3, 1994.
EFCI would appreciate any direction you may provide to resolve the above concerns.
